The MKS2501A is designed for clamping applications where secure holding is required in the event of a loss of energy or air pressure. Pneumatic activation releases the clamp, while a PLUS air connection can provide increased holding force.

The clamping mechanism uses a wedge-type gear to transfer force from the pneumatic piston to the clamping jaw. The clamping jaw presses against the free surfaces of the profile rail guide.
