TheNI-9485is aC Series Relay Output Modulemanufactured byNational Instruments, which is featured with SSR sourcing or sinking technology. TheNI-9485module is compatible with the CompactRIO chassis and CompactDAQ chassis. TheNI-9845has 8 SSR Solid State Relay Output Channels. Each channel can get an SSR. The maximum switching voltage range of each channel is about 60 VDC, 30 Vrms. The maximum switching current range is up to 1.2 A / channel. It is applicable to four channels. The maximum switching current range increases up to 750 mA for 8 complete channels. Each channel also features channel-to-channel isolation. TheNI-9485is designed to be used for a variety of industrial applications.

TheNI 9485 modulehas a relay open time about 0.5 ms and a relay close time of about 9.0 ms. This module has maximum resistance in active mode is around 200 mΩ. The off stage leakage is around 30 μA. TheNI-9485can easily be cleaned with a dry towel. TheNI-9485is applicable in industrial DC devices, actuators, and motors.

TheNI-9485also has screw terminal connectors with copper conductor wiring. The wiring gauge is about 30 AWG to 14 AWG. The strip length of the wire is 0.24 inches. It provides insulation stripped from the end. The torque range of the screw terminals is 0.22 N · m to 0.25 N · m. The screw flanges provide safety to the connectors. The device has a power consumption value of 500 mW maximum when active, and consumes up to 5 mW when in sleep mode.

TheNI-9485can be programmed using software packages such as LabVIEW Professional Development System for Windows, LabVIEW FPGA Module, and LabVIEW Real-Time Module. The NI device weighs 5.1 oz. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, an operating and storage humidity range of 10% RH to 90% RH and 5% RH to 95% RH respectively, and a random and sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 grms and 5 g–all at a frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz.
