This was a Fluke 51II thermometer but I've modified it to turn it into a Fluke 54II.I added in the EEPROM for data logging, added the missing buttons, added the circuitry to enable the second thermocouple channel, and soldered an internal thermocouple on port 2 (I didn't want to have wires externally or figure out a connector solution).With the second channel being internal it serves as an ambient reading at all times which is handy to compare against the temperature on port 1.Since this is fully unlocked in the firmware to be a 54II, you can do all the delta and data logging functions.It also now works with all thermocouple types = K J T E R S N
This unit was bought initially non-working but I repaired the reference ADC voltage source inside and made all these upgrades.It was recalibrated afterwards with my 6.5 digit voltage meter and is bang on accurate with my quick test.
Everything on the meter works great including the logging and recording (which I don't think most 54II's have natively).The only thing that this doesn't have compared to an actual 54II is an external second port and it does not have the IR TXVRs for computer communication installed.
