Condition description:

Pre-owned vintage test equipment. Basic operation tested: powers on, CRT produces visible horizontal trace, readout/graticule illuminate, Beam Finder responds and installed plug-ins receive power/indicate activity. Master description

Vintage Tektronix 7704A modular oscilloscope system with Tektronix mobile equipment cart, four installed plug-in modules, additional accessories and extra Tektronix equipment.

This came from an estate workshop belonging to a radio/electronics hobbyist. The workspace contained numerous radio components, speaker drivers, test equipment and electronics parts. The oscilloscope also retains an older Hughes Aircraft Co. property label; I do not have documentation connecting the previous owner to Hughes, so the label is simply being shown as found.

Testing performed

The unit has been powered on and basic operation has been verified.

The CRT illuminates and produces a clear visible horizontal trace. The trace was centered and adjusted using the front controls. CRT readout is functioning, graticule illumination works, Beam Finder responds, and the installed plug-ins power up with indicator activity.

This has NOT been fully bench-tested or calibrated. I have not verified every input, channel, time-base function, bandwidth specification or calibration accuracy. The internal calibrator/input signal path was not fully tested.

It is therefore being sold as partially tested vintage laboratory equipment, not as recently calibrated professional test equipment.

Cosmetically it shows normal age, workshop use, dust, marks and wear consistent with vintage laboratory equipment. Please review all photos closely.

This is a substantial, heavy setup and I am selling it complete as shown rather than shipping the entire system.
