These compact detectors are associated with the early U.S. military's efforts to monitor personnel exposure to radiation during the atomic age. Similar DT-60/PD personnel dosimeters were issued to U.S. military personnel during the 1950s and were designed to be read using separate specialized equipment.

This is an interesting piece of Cold War military history and would make an excellent addition to a militaria, atomic-age, civil defense, or vintage scientific equipment collection.

Vintage original packaging with age-related wear, creasing, and discoloration.

Multiple individually wrapped units included, as pictured.

A great opportunity to own an unusual piece of 1950s military surplus from the early nuclear era.
