Item Description

Collection of vintage machinist, drafting, and hobbyist layout tools. This lot features top-tier American manufacturing with highly sought-after brands including The L.S. Starrett Co., General Tools (General Hardware Mfg.), Gaebel, and Ruelle Industries. All tools are Made in the USA.

What is Included:

1. Four (4) General Tools 6" Flexible Pocket Rules (New Old Stock / NOS)

Brand new and unused, preserved on their original yellow-and-black retail cardboard display cards. Complete with adjustable pocket clip depth gauges.

2x Model No. 301me: Graduated in millimeters (mm) and 16th inch.

2x Model No. 300me: Front graduations in mm and 64th inch, with metric equivalents on the back.

2. Five (5) Vintage 6" Precision Machinist Steel Rules (Used)

A premium assortment of high-accuracy pocket scales featuring clean, sharp graduations.

1x Starrett No. C303R 6" Rule: Tempered steel, satin finish. Clear, crisp 32nds, 64ths, 10ths, and 50ths scales. A premium tool from Athol, MA.

2x General Tools No. 305me 6" / 150mm Rules: Flexible stainless steel construction with dual metric/fractional scales. One rule features the classic red-dipped tip.

1x Vintage 6" / 150mm Layout Rule: Confirmed Made in USA with distinct centimeter markings down the center face.

1x Vintage 6" Fractional Rule: Confirmed Made in USA with fine 32nd and 64th fractional markings.

3. Three (3) General Hardware Mfg. Protractors & Layout Gauges (Used)

Heavy-duty stainless steel layout tools with smooth-operating locking tension screws.

No. 18 Protractor: Traditional semi-circular head with an adjustable 6" locking rule arm.

No. 17 Protractor & Depth Gauge: Rectangular-headed layout protractor

4. Two (2) Ruelle Industries Screw Chek'r Plates (Used)

Pocket-sized thread size checker plates designed to instantly identify standard US fractional/inch screws from size No. 1 up to 5/16". Includes built-in tap/drill charts and screw length scales.

5. Two (2) Vintage 12" Stainless Steel Workshop Rules (Used)

1x General No. 1251 Model Railroad Reference Rule: Highly collectible, indispensable layout scale for train hobbyists featuring dedicated HO Gage, O Gage, and OO Scale layouts alongside decimal tables.

1x Gaebel No. 610A 12" Rule: Made by William Gaebel & Co. in Larchmont, NY. Heavy-duty, high-precision layout scale.

Detailed Condition Report (Please Read):

This is a mixed lot consisting of 4 pristine New Old Stock items and several vintage, shop-used tools.

The 4 Carded Pocket Rules are brand new and unused. The cardboard cards show minor vintage shelf wear, price stickers, and light package wear from storage.

The 5 Small 6" Rules and 3 Protractors are straight with true edges and completely legible text. They exhibit normal light surface scratches and shop patina from honest workshop use.

The No. 17 Protractor & Depth Gauge features a prior owner's name lightly etched into the metal surfaces.

The Ruelle Screw Chek'rs show heavier wear. On the left side/row of both plates, some of the stamped chart details are completely or partially rubbed off from heavy use. There is also a small amount of old handwriting on the metal faces.

The Gaebel No. 610A 12" Rule exhibits areas of light surface corrosion and cosmetic spotting on the metal face from age and storage. It remains perfectly straight and readable.
