What types of pens or markers can be used for these tags?

These lockout tagout tags are crafted from PVC vinyl, making ordinary pens ineffective for writing. We recommend using permanent markers, grease/wax pencils, or paint markers among others.
Is it possible to erase the notations made on these tags?

It depends on the writing material used. Grease/wax pencils are easily erasable. However, permanent or paint markers may require a special type of solvent like acetone or paint thinner, which is not recommended because it may damage the tag.
Can these tags be used outside a facility, potentially exposing them to rain or extreme heat?
