Tested Picosecond Pulse Labs model 5810B-114 broadband pulse amplifier. This amplifier is marked"Made in USA" and operates from a +12VDC power source. I tested the unit using two HP vector networkanalyzerss and a regulated 12V bench supply. The amplifier shows gainconsistent with the specifications in the datasheet (included as the last photo in this listing).

Per the datasheet, the 5810B-114 is a broadband pulse amplifier with nominal13 dB gain and a specified bandwidth of 6 kHz to 1.7 GHz. The amplifier is intendedfor high-speed pulse applications including pulse amplification, timing systems, TDR work, laser andphotonics experiments, high-speed digital measurements, and other broadband laboratory applications.

I tested this amplifier using both an HP 8753C Vector Network Analyzer and an HP 8720B 20 GHzVector Network Analyzer. Photos show the actual test setups and measured responses of the amplifierin this listing.

The measured response closely follows the expected behavior of a 13 dB broadband amplifier withapproximately 1.7 GHz rated bandwidth. Gain remains near the published specification through muchof the intended operating range and rolls off smoothly at higher Pulse Labs 5810B-114
