Pair of vintage industrial pie shaped corner parts cabinets. Painted wood, olive green, two drawers in each cabinet.WHAT IT ISEach cabinet is a quarter round case with two curved front drawers. It is the same pie shaped corner form as the steel hardware and parts bins, built here in wood. Set two side by side and they make a half circle, or stack one on top of the other. A narrow slot is cut through the top of each case. The drawers I pulled out are divided into long compartments, with notched walls that take cross dividers.ACME STEEL COMPANY LABELSInside one drawer is a paper label that reads ACME STEEL COMPANY, LOS ANGELES - SAN FRANCISCO, with a handwritten stock number. A loose fiber tag printed with the same text is included. Acme Steel Company was the Chicago firm known for steel strapping. The labels show who used these cabinets, not who built them. I found no maker's mark and no date, so the maker and period are not stated.SIZEEach cabinet is roughly 14 in from the back corner to the front, about 20 in across the two front corners, and about 6 1/4 in tall. Stacked, the pair stands about 12 1/2 in. These are approximate, so please allow a little variation.CONDITIONUsed, with plenty of age wear. The paint has scratches, scuffs and small chips on the tops, edges and drawer fronts, and a reddish brown surface shows through at the chipped edges and corners. One side panel has a short dark jagged line near its front corner that may be a hairline crack, shown close up in the photos. One of the four knobs is a darker wood knob that does not match the other three. The paper label is worn and torn at one corner, and the loose tag is chipped at one end.WHAT IS INCLUDEDTwo cabinets with four drawers, plus the loose Acme Steel Company tag. The photos show both drawers of one cabinet pulled out. The second cabinet's drawers were not photographed open.NOTESSold as pictured. Please look through every photo. Both cabinets ship together in one padded box.
