This is an Iscar tension compression compensation Tapping collet. It is Designed for CNC applications and lathes.

I listed this collet as new old stock because I found it in a box of R8 collets I purchased through an sale site. Not sure how it got in the box but appears to have never been used.

I did give the collet a quick test of the spring tension compression mechanism and it appears to work very well. I tested it by gently pushing and pulling on the top collet. It worked as expected and was very smooth.

The ANSI size listed means it will work with a 3/8” tap or m10.
