Condition

Used and tested working.

Selling as used, although I do not believe this unit was ever actually installed or put into service. The protective plastic is still on the control panel/display.

The sensor has been powered and bench tested. The LCD display operates properly, and the ultrasonic sensor responds correctly to changes in target distance.

During testing, the displayed distance, calculated level, temperature, and 4-20mA output changed appropriately as the target distance was changed.

Example readings during testing:

Distance: 0.896 m | Output: 18.54 mA
Distance: 1.573 m | Output: 17.89 mA
Distance: 2.054 m | Output: 17.26 mA

Description

ICON Process Controls / LevelPro UltraPro 2000-10 Ultrasonic Level Sensor Transmitter

This is an industrial non-contact ultrasonic level transmitter designed for continuous liquid-level measurement in tanks, sumps, process vessels, and similar applications.

Unlike a float or submerged probe, the UltraPro uses ultrasonic sound waves to measure the distance between the sensor and the liquid surface. The transmitter sends an ultrasonic pulse toward the liquid and measures the returning echo. It then calculates the distance and liquid level and converts the measurement into a standard 4-20mA analog signal for use with PLCs, controllers, remote displays, and other industrial instrumentation.

The built-in LCD provides local indication and programming without requiring a separate display.

The non-contact measurement design is particularly useful for applications where avoiding direct mechanical contact with the measured liquid is desirable.

Testing

This unit was bench tested prior to listing.

It was powered and aimed at targets at different distances. The LCD showed corresponding changes in measured distance and calculated level. The displayed 4-20mA output also changed as the measured distance changed.

For example, the unit displayed approximately 18.54mA at 0.896m and 17.26mA at 2.054m, demonstrating that the sensor was actively detecting changes in target distance and adjusting its indicated analog output accordingly.
