Swaps in place of your existing storefront cylinder: loosen the set screw on the edge of the door, unscrew the old cylinder, screw in the new one and tighten the set screw. Most owners do it in under 10 minutes. Lubricate the keyway with silicone spray twice a year.

Most aluminum glass storefront doors use a 1-1/8" mortise cylinder with an Adams Rite®-type cam, which is exactly what this is. To check, unscrew your current cylinder and measure from the front face to the back. If it measures 1-1/4" or longer, or you're not sure, send us a photo through messages before you buy and we'll confirm.

Message us. We'll exchange it for the correct length or cam so you're not stuck with the wrong part.

Yes. On the edge of the door, loosen the small set screw that holds the cylinder, unscrew the old cylinder, screw the new one in until the cam lines up, and tighten the set screw. It takes most people under 10 minutes with a screwdriver or Allen key.

Extra keys are $15.00 each plus shipping. Add them when you order, or message us later with your key control card number. We verify you're the account holder, cut the keys to your code, and ship within [X] business days.

An employee quit and didn't return a key. Now what?

Because nobody can copy your key at a store, you know exactly how many exist. If one goes missing, message us about rekeying your cylinder to a new combination, so the old keys stop working.

Is it really harder to copy, or is that just marketing?

It's real. CX5 key blanks aren't sold to the public, hardware stores, or key kiosks. Their key machines don't have the blank and can't cut the side security groove. Only an authorized dealer can make a copy, and only for the owner with a valid control card.

I have a front and back door. Can one key open both?

Yes. Buy one cylinder for each lock and send us a message after checkout. We'll key them all alike so a single key works on every door.

Satin chrome ships from stock. Other finishes, like dark bronze, can be special ordered; message us for price and lead time.

I have several locations. Do you do bulk orders?

Yes. We can key multiple stores alike, or set up a master key system where each store has its own key and the owner has one key that opens everything. Message us for pricing.

Cylinders ship within [2] business days of payment. Your cylinder is pinned to its own key code, cut, and tested before it leaves our shop.

Returns are accepted within 30 days for a cylinder in its original, uninstalled condition. Keys are cut to order and can't be returned, but if one doesn't work, we'll recut it free.
