Product Overview

The Flexcharge PV7D is a compact, high‑efficiency shunting regulator designed for 12V solar‑only charging systems with a maximum charging current of 7 amps. It supports both single and dual battery banks and is available in special‑order 6V or 24V versions.

With a tiny footprint of just 1.5\" × 2\", the PV7D is engineered for marine, off‑grid, and harsh‑environment applications where reliability and low standby consumption are critical.

Compatible with Flooded, AGM, and Gel lead‑acid batteries. Not for use with lithium batteries or generator‑based charging systems.

Efficiency

The PV7D uses an all solid‑state design with extremely high‑efficiency components. Because so little heat is generated, no heat sink is required. Like the NC25A, the controller draws only 4mA to operate its circuitry.

The PV7D can be expanded to regulate 35A, 60A, 100A, or up to 500A of charging current. Expansion also increases charging efficiency to 99.95%.

Flexcharge’s Energy State Taper Charging algorithm reduces gassing, supports micro‑equalization, and improves battery longevity across all lead‑acid chemistries.
