Explore motion and position with the GY-521, PIR sensor, Hall modules, tilt and vibration switches, tracking and obstacle-avoidance modules. Test environmental and interactive inputs with ultrasonic distance, temperature and humidity, DS18B20, flame, light, sound, touch and water-level modules. Add output and control functions with the LCD1602 display, DS1307 real-time clock, joystick, rotary encoder, relay, buzzers, RGB LEDs, infrared receiver and transmitter and laser emitter.

Start with one module at a time, then combine inputs and outputs into motion alarms, distance indicators, environmental monitors, automatic lights, timers, status displays and other interactive electronics projects. Digital tutorial materials, datasheets, wiring guidance and example code support compatible board configurations and help users move from basic module tests to customized experiments.

For the included power supply module, use 6.5–9 V DC input only and do not exceed the specified range. Check VCC, GND and signal-pin order before applying power, test modules individually before combining circuits and keep the laser emitter away from eyes. Sensor readings can vary with placement, calibration and ambient conditions; the modules are intended for learning, experimentation and prototyping rather than calibrated safety-critical measurement.

Warning Tip: The input voltage of ELEGOO Power Supply Module is 6.5–9 V DC via 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm plug. Input voltage above the specified range may damage the module.

The sensor includes resistive wet-sensing components and an NTC temperature measurement device, and connects with a high-performance 8-bit microcontroller.

GY-521 Triaxial Acceleration Triaxial Gyroscope Sensor

GY-521 six-axis sensor usually consists of two which are accelerometer and a gyroscope. The GY-521 is a 6 DOF (Degrees of Freedom) or a six-axis IMU sensor, which means that it gives six values as output. Three values from the accelerometer and three from the gyroscope. It is also a sensor based on MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) technology. Both the accelerometer and the gyroscope are embedded inside a single chip. This chip uses the I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit) protocol for communication.
