Up for sale is a vintage 1994 Leica GST20-9 Heavy-Duty Short Wooden Tripod. This is the highly sought-after compact/short version, perfect for setting up instruments over low benchmarks, working in tight spaces, or pairing with heavy 3D laser scanners.

This tripod has been successfully restored using a genuine Leica oblong top plate and standard 5/8"-11 central mounting screw. It is fully structurally sound and ready for field use.

Key Features & Details:

Swiss Quality Hardware: Features the original factory castings with part numbers 561471 (side-clamp brackets) and 561473 (hinge brackets), along with the vintage "94" year stamp on the underside of the top plate.

Self-Interlocking Feet: Unlike the standard long-legged GST20s that require a wrap-around strap to stay shut, this short model features integrated interlocking brackets on the feet. The legs mechanically snap together firmly for fast setup and transport.

Superior Stability: Built from select alpine beechwood, providing industry-leading vibration absorption, twist resistance, and warp resistance.

Authentic Leather Plumb Pouch: Includes the original leather plumb bob pouch attached to the frame, with solid stitching and clean leather. Also includes the plumb bob that slides and twists into the slots of the central mounting screw.

Condition: Used, vintage. The wood legs, side clamps, hinges, and central screw are all fully functional. You Please see photos for cosmetic wear, scuffs, and small chips.

Please Note: The orange shoulder sling strap is missing. However, because of the self-interlocking leg design, it securely closes and carries easily by hand without it.
