broken watch winder

I have an automatic watch winder that broke. The winder had variable timed phases based on two switches. In the on position, it would run for 15-30 seconds every 1-2 minutes depending on the settings of the switches (4 combinations), or something like that. I was pretty sure that the motor just crapped out. I replaced the motor. Now in the on position, the motor runs continuously, as if there are no timers. I don't think I did anything to the circuit to affect the timers, but I can't be sure. I'm new to these types of things. Any tips on how to troubleshoot from here?
