water detection circuit

I need help building a simple water detection circuit . It can be battery powered or run from a power supply, but want something that will sound an audible alarm and or trigger a relay to turn a pump off. Have basic soldering skills here and will tackle a simple project.

Interesting,its very simple if ua going for a water level trigger circuit..

This is the simple method I feel..u can use any old door bell..or if ur a silence lover then u can a relay to switch off the pump automatically!
