Alpha numeric display question

I'm building a Jukebox out of a, Well a jukebox. The cabinet has a display in it but with the control board missing I was thinking it would be neat to display some information on the display. What I'm looking for is something programmable, that could drive this board. I will post the schematics of the original display also I have the control board schematics too. Just so were clear I have the board attached to the display, I do not have the control board that was the brain of the Jukebox.

Wow...a person would have to really study up and have intimate knowledge of the architecture and operation of this circuit in order to customize it to do what you are asking. Your best bet would be to find a replacement for the control board. They may or may-not be available. Do you know what happened to the one that was installed?

I agree with Drew; it would take very detailed knowledge of the original or similar circuitry.

Now, options:

Try going secondhand to find a compatible control board. there are a number of vending machine repair forums that might have people selling parts from such machines. Set up a saved search on ebay to email you when it finds items like it.

Or, I would try putting in one of those programmable scrolling message signs (with input from the comp as to the content to put on the sign.

Maybe even just stick some LCD Display modules under there. I'm sure some of them can be controlled directly from an I/O port on the comp (i.e.: USB, Serial/RS-232, Parallel, etc)

In all cases though, I would definitely wire up the keypad selection circuits to a normal PC keyboard (if you havent already) and set up a macro or script to interpret which buttons/keys do what.
