steps in GPS working???

Hello everybody!!!

Can anyone explain me the steps in the gps receiver working?

i mean one after the other like
1. gps installation
2.gps receives details from satellite
3.gps sends data to cell site or other...


actually i don't know what are the steps in reception. i said above just for example. please explain in brief about the steps involved in gps reception??
