Wonderful vintage collection of letterpress printer’s blocks weighing approximately 4 lbs total.
This mixed lot includes a wide variety of decorative printing ornaments, dingbats and printer’s cuts, including pointing hands/manicules, floral and foliate designs, scrolls, paisley-style motifs, geometric designs, a star, decorative corner and border elements, and other interesting vintage printing symbols.
The blocks vary in size and design, with some repeated patterns and many different individual motifs. They appear to be metal printing surfaces mounted on blocks and were originally used in traditional letterpress printing.
A beautiful old working collection with wonderful age, patina and printing history. Great for letterpress printers, collectors, artists, mixed-media projects, typography displays, or vintage printing decor.
