Vintage Heathkit V-4A VTVM in working condition with probes:

Up for sale is a very vintage Heathkit V-4A Vacuum Tube Voltmeter in what appears to be working condition.
This is a grandaddy of a meter, with separate AC and DC (shielded) probes.
Although it powers up and calibrates and measures continuity, I would suggest replacing the lead wires before doing any high voltage measurements since the insulation is starting to crack, and you\'ll also want to remove the corrosion off the probe tips to ensure accurate measurements.
The unit itself looks like most 70 years olds... somewhat battle scarred, with some blemishes, a crack on the meter housing and some rust here and there, but that doesn\'t diminish the contributions this meter made to the world of electronics... a true classic that served many a hobbyist, scientist, teacher and technician for, well, decades.
Note the condition carefully in the pictures as this is a final sale and I am not taking returns for any reason, but having said that, if you are in the market for a vintage meter, this is a nice one to have for the collector or for the person who needs the ultra high impedance that only a VTVM can provide!
