Vintage Simpson Model 9-family precision portable laboratory DC voltmeter/microammeter, circa early 1950s. Exact factory configuration is not independently confirmed. Sold for parts or repair; partially tested only. Leads were connected to the positive and negative terminals, and the meter responded to a 1.5-volt battery. No other functions or ranges were tested. Overall functionality, accuracy, and calibration are not guaranteed. The Direct Current/Microamperes dial has a 0-50 scale; voltage selector labels are 5, 10, 25, 50, 100 and 250 V. Specified movement sensitivity is nominally 20,000 ohms per volt, not verified performance. Features green and black terminals and a heavy black molded Bakelite case with scratches, dust and wear on the sides and rear. Markings include SK 525-447 and 02280; made in the USA by Simpson Electric Co., Chicago. Includes the pictured instrument only; no test leads are shown or confirmed included.
