Outstanding Yaesu FL-101 Transmitter w/All Cables - NEAR PERFECT:
$228.50

This is an outstanding example of the Yaesu FL-101 HF transmitter. You can search and search, but you will surely not find a nicer one. It operates properly on LSB/USB/CW and AM - the hard-to-find AM filter is included.
The front panel and bezel are perfect. Unless I'm missing something, the case and lid are perfect (see photos). There is no corrosion or stains on the chassis. The leather-like side handle is not frayed and is fully functional. The transmitter is super clean. The cooling fan is in place and is quiet, with no apparent bearing wear.
This transmitter is a performer, and a real sleeper on AM. There is no hum. The VFO is extremely stable after a brief warmup. I have used it with a matching FR-101S receiver, which is being sold in another sale, to check into the vintage sideband and AM nets on 20M and 40M.
All the necessary cables are provided, including theunarguably rare external VFO cable, as well as a manual copy. The Accessory cable is broken out for switching your linear amplifier as well as receiver mute.THE matching FR-101S receiver shown in one of the pictures is not included; it was in a separate sale which is now over.
You might want to replace those original electrolytics, and you may have to clean the bandswitch and pots.
Being approximately 50 years old,I cannot guarantee this transmitter in any way. It is being sold as is (regardless of any default language may be inserting which I have no control over). I have been an seller since 1998, with a 100% response satisfaction. I have been a serious collector of vintage gear for nearly 30 years, but am now paring back in my retirement.
I have set a Buy it Now price of $295, and I have placed starting offers at $180.The FL-101 is securely packed, with large bubble wrap and foam board. It will be shipped via USPS Priority, with the buyer paying the calculated shipping amount (which I've found to be pretty accurate.) If you are looking for the best example out there of this desirable transmitter, this may be the one.73,
