Got a Nibco stop valve that is dripping? Does it look crusty and corroded? Don't bother with tightening the packing nut, that won't last! Replace the whole thing!

In this sale, you will get 1x new Nibco valve stem assembly for the older 1/2" stop valves that use a 5/8" seat instead of the more common 3/4" seat. It can be identified by the much smaller body nut and the indent in the globe area of the body. If you need the larger and more common 3/4" seat, see my other sale. The pictures of the old valves and larger valves are for reference. Pipe size and handle color are NOT an indicator of which valve assembly you need. Check the body nut (not the packing nut) with an open-ended wrench to measure.

Why replace the entire stem?

1) No need to cut the valve out and re-solder in a new one

2) If the stem is scoured and corroded, no amount of re-packing or re-tightening will stop the drip long-term

3) If your bibb seal is bad: Water can continue to flow or drip from the outlet even with the handle fully seated. A new stem fixes that.

4) A new smooth and easy to turn valve. Not a stiff or stuck old handle that won't turn

This stem is the updated version of the classic Nibco stop valve (or stop and waste valve if it has a bleeder). Sometimes called a globe valve or gate valve (incorrectly). It fits *some* hose bibb / spigots, but Nibco was inconsistent with fitment. Measure your existing before ordering.
