HP 3458A 8.5-Digit Multimeter - Option 001 Extended MemoryThe Hewlett-Packard 3458A is a reference-standard system/bench DMM, still in production (now under Keysight):
- 8.5 digits resolution, 0.1 ppm DCV transfer accuracy, 0.6 ppm 24-hour DCV accuracy
- 0.1 ppm DC linearity, 0.01 ppm rms internal noise, calibration-lab grade
- Up to 100,000 readings/sec; 16–24 bit waveform digitizing, 12 MHz bandwidth path
- DCV to 1000 V, true-RMS ACV (precision sampling, 1 Hz–10 MHz), DCI/ACI to 1 A, 2- and 4-wire ohms 10 Ω–1 GΩ, frequency/period, ratio
- Auto-calibration (ACAL) of all functions against internal standards; full external cal requires only a 10 V and 10 kΩ standard
- Option 001 installed: extended reading memory, 148 kB total (~75,000 readings) vs. 10,240 standard
- Front/rear inputs, GPIB with HP Multimeter Language (HPML)
