LED circuit

Postby jamesbeach » Tue Mar 25, 2014 10:36 pm

Hi All, I am interested on building a timing circuit using a momentary switch that will start a circuit and time out after 12 to 15 seconds. The output would be a few led bulbs. The power supply being 2 'aaa' batteries or similar. Thanks. Jim

This low-voltage version of the popular 555 timer may do what you want. It has an additional long delay feature:

Hey there,

Sometimes you need to do two factors at once. For example you might want to flicker an LED (or some other time-sensitive function) while studying a key media or other feedback. In this situation, you can't use delay(), or you'd quit everything else the system while the LED blinked. The system might skip the key media if it happens during the delay(). This draw shows how to flicker the LED without using delay(). It keeps a record of the before the Arduino converted the LED on or off. Then, each time through loop(), it assessments if a lengthy enough period has approved. If it has, it toggles the LED on or off.

I hope this video will help you:
