Hi I'm new to electronics and need some help

I want to make a small 9 volt motor run for 2 sec at a time and I want to have a choice of 15 sec, 30 sec, 1 min, and 2 min delays in between runs. Any help would be great thanks Danny

well, the timing circuit is easy.

you can use a 555 component and connect the output to a NPN transistor or FET to drive the motor (it depends on the motor type).

google for "555 timer"

About the motor: what motor is it? brush ? step motor? servo?

You could use a 4060 binary counter if you can accept an 'On' time of 1.875secs instead of 2secs. Alternatively, with a 2sec 'On' time, you would have times of 16secs, 32secs, 64secs or 128secs.
