Switch to reverse polarity

Postby BigAir » Mon Apr 11, 2011 5:23 pm

Hi all,

Probably a very simple question but i'm useless with electronics...
Basically i need a sort of double push and hold switch; when one button is pressed it will give one direction on the motor, when the other is pressed it will give the opposite direction and when neither is pressed the motor is stationary..

Is there a way to wire this up with just a single motor/battery or do i need to double up somewhere?

Thanks for your help, Nick

Hi Nick,
This circuit should do what you want. You will need a couple of 2way push
buttons, also known as SPCO or SPDT push button switches.
