Circuit is short while multimeter reverse probing

Postby santhakumar » Wed Apr 27, 2016 10:54 am

Hi,

In My design i have a super cap circuit..in it i can see some weird things happening.
it is 5V power rail..with multi meter impedance check with positive probe on 5V rail and negative probe on ground, i don't see any short ( it is around 12K ).
but when i probe negative probe on 5V rail and positive probe on ground i am seeing short (0 Ohm).

Does anyone faced this kind of problem.. Pls suggest me the reason behind this.

Santhakumar.

Is the multimeter a digital or an analogue type?

Can you post the schematic diagram as it is quite hard to explain without that.
