Automatic Darkness Controlled Light using TRIAC and LDR

Based on a circuit I decided to make this work. Using a LDR and TRIAC to automatically control my outdoor light.

But it is not working.. I used power supply of 4.5 Volts and Rest all the same . There was no change in the NOT gate output when there is change in intensity of lighting. But the Resistance varies from 10K to 180 K for Light to dark respectively. Any suggestions for this circuit...?
