Ultrasonic generator/blaster Circuit help

The attached schematic is for an ultrasonic generator, however it is a bit vauge on what its specs are.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what output the frequency will be for the ultrasonic pulse...is it 60-80KHz? . I am looking for 40-50kHz ([url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_disruption#Sonication[/url]). The purpose is for cellular sonication. If it isn't correct could you tell me how it could be modified? Please reference the part numbers, or I will have trouble understanding.

I am an amateur when it comes to electronics, so I could definitely use some help

In the circuit, IC3 generates the pulse whose frequency is determined by the value of resistance between its pin7 and the 12V supply rail.

The complete circuit is for the production of five sequential frequencies. It is done by using IC1 as an oscillator to drive the 4017 decade counter that switches the pots VR2 to VR6 in turn to the 12V rail via the isolating diodes.

For your purposes, you should leave out IC1 and IC2 and all the pots, and connect a 100K pot between R5 and the supply rail.

Can this drive a transducer? So if I kept those in, I could tune the frequency?

The output transistors are powerful enough to drive a transducer.

The frequency is tuned by the 100K pot in series with R5 that I said you should fit.
