Need to swap lcd screen for 3digit 7segment led display.

Hi all.

I'm working on a project for my daughter and I would like to change the small LCD screen that displays 3 seven segmant digits for a 3 digit 7 segment LED display unit using the same input the LCD uses.

Is this possible? I have basic electronics experience and is completely self tought.

I doubt that you will ever be able to do that. The display driving coding is totally different. Maybe a microcontroller decoding the LCD output and converting it 7-segment, but that would be a real challenge.
