Simple Motorcycle Flasher unit

I've used the search function but not found anything on the board yet so can some one tell me if this circuit,

Would be strong enough to replace the flasher unit in my Motorcycle which at present uses 12v- 2x21w standard bulbs per each side.I tire of the shop bought old style bi-metallic ones and a solid state one only lasted a year so the quality around is not that good.I'd rather build my own.Can the above be made more heavy duty with different value components if required?

Check if the contacts of the relay can handle the amps. To be on the safe side 10 Amps should be okay.
Do your calculations on the resistance of the bulb and 14.7 Volt which would normally be the voltage while the motorcycle is running and charging the battery. This means the worst case consumption of the 21 Watt globe is almost 25 Watt.
