This listing is for a square blade with cosmetic imperfections.This blade is manufactured in the USA by Products Engineering Corporation (PEC Tools), one of the last US precision manufacturing companies. PEC quality standards are quite high. Many blades did not meet these quality standards and are now for sale as cosmetic seconds or “blems” at a deep discount. Most have scratches, discoloration or other blemishes. In addition, the name brand on each blade has been ground off. PEC makes and brands blades for numerous other tool companies, so remnants of other tool names may remain on the rule. The measurements are good and they function accurately as measuring tools. We guarantee that the length and graduations will be accurate and that it will be a usable, fully functional measuring device.So instead of recycling the steel, you have the opportunity to own a premier tool with a “mistake” at a fraction of retail cost.

This precision 12” 4R satin chrome “zero glare” combination square blade is made in the USA by Products Engineering Company (PEC Tools), a premier tool manufacturer.Note: this blade will not interface with all brands of precision combination squares, but will fit the Starett, Mitutoyo, PEC and Brown & Sharpe.This blade is made from hardened tool steel and is 1.00” wide by .085” thick with a groove down one side. It has a “zero-glare” satin chrome finish that provides better rust and scratch resistance than polished steel and can be easily read in both low and bright light conditions. All 4 sides of each blade are ground parallel and straight. 4R graduations have 1/8” and 1/16” on one side and quick-reading 1/32” and 1/64” on the other. Graduations are deeply precision photo etched and then black filled for easy readability.
