Light show for the wall

Postby Time Wave » Thu Dec 08, 2011 6:26 pm

Hei. Nead some help to figure out what it will take to make a light show
It's going to be in 6,6 plane with a microcontroller at first to test have god or bad it's going to be. But dont know what hardware to use so nead guide lines on what to use and7or cheaper ways to accomplish the same goal.

What is so far is to multiplex 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiplexer' from charlieplex 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlieplex' to geat a dicent amount of light's
The formula for the total number of light if p equals the number of 1/O MC pin's (⌊(p*(p-1))⌋/4)^2

What is neaded help with:
microcontroller to use
transistor's and transformer's
cheap light element's
posible more

Please ask if you dont understand something will be happe to answer : )

Thanks for any responses.

If you want a simple laser light show, you might be able to fashion a simple box that has different color pen lasers and maybe a simple motor and holder that moves them back and forth; however, you are talking microprocessors, algorythms, software to control the Microprocessor etc....This is a far more complex problem than simple guidence. This is something a company would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in Engineering and Development costs to make. I imagine there are products available to purchase that will do just what your looking for.
