Help with 120v electronic switch

Postby hapinesiswin » Tue May 31, 2011 4:40 pm

I need a 120v volt switch that when it receives power shuts off power to another source. I have no idea what such a device is called so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time!

You can use a 120V relay and connect the load to the normally closed contacts of the relay.

How about a DPST - Double Pole, Single Throw switch? When you throw the switch, the other circuit is opened up. Sound Good?
