Hello all,
I need your help with troubleshooting a subwoofer.I have a subwoofer with the following specifications,
5.1Ch home theater.
Each of the satellite speakers are of 15w O/P.
SNR No less than 80dB.
Subwoofer had a sensitivity of 88dB having frequency of 20~150Hz.
Lately the subwoofer is not working. I took it a repair shop where they said that there was a problem with the pre amp section of the sub.They say there is a problem with the IC. There is humming and the no voice in any of the speakers. If the IC needs to be replaced can you suggest an alternative to SyncMos 8952AC25PP. They say this is a preprogrammed IC.
If this is the case can anyone please give me a complete circiut diagram on building a preamp circuit from scratch. I need to get that sub working. Please help me.
