Add Remote to Electronic

Hello,

I'm trying to install a baby mobile (I know real exciting electronic stuff), but I hate the options out there to motorize the mobile. The way I see it, I have two options 1 build something or 2 modify something.

Option 1 - I need to create a battery powered hook that mounts to the ceiling and rotates slowly with a remote to turn it on and off.

Option 2 - I can buy an existing mobile hook and add a remote to it. (Here's an example of the hook I could buy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I06 ... ge_o03_s00)

I want to mount the hook on the ceiling that's why I need the wireless remote.

I know practically nothing about electronics, so any advice / help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are good in doing by yourself you can go with your first option. This is because you will know the adjustments and features you can add to it.
