Hi,

I have been reading a lot about Raspberry PI garage door projects and chanced upon your site. I am a newbie at electronics so I was wondering if you could give me some ideas at all.

I have the Raspberry PI B model and have just ordered an 8 module relay board (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... AQ:AU:1123) and some female-to-female jumper wires.

If you don't mind I have attached pictures of my garage opener and remote control unit. I am confused with the circuit. I don't know where on the remote I would connect the wires from the relay. Also if I am connecting the wires directly to the garage opener on the wall, where would I connect them?

Also if some one one would be kind enough to explain what each component on the circuit board does I would really be grateful.

Many thanks in advance.

Joe
