WiFi receiver circuit

Postby astalavista_thes » Sun Jul 08, 2012 9:19 pm

Hello to all members. I am an electronic newbie and I would like to build something which may be difficult.
I would like to have a circuit which will be place somewhere in the house which will have a LED diode on it. The LED should be turned on and off by commands from my computer. I am a software engineer with no expertise in hardware stuff. However I believe that one of the solutions available would be to have a wifi receiver on the circuit which will interact with my laptop's wireless adapter. But I have no idea what to look for on the Internet. Any help?

Hi,

You could use a wired ethernet to relay module. A Wifi to wired bridge adapter would be necessary, this needs to be compatible with your current Wifi transciever (your router?).
