Impact Sensor in foam sword and armor

Hey im new to electronics, i know the basics how to build circuits and use certain things, i got one of those radio shack kits. I have a great idea I want to make a reality and this is a small part of it however i will need to do a lot of work if i want to get investors. I was wondering if anyone has worked with a type of impact sensor you could imbed in a foam sword or armor ect... that you could use to play a sound and flash leds when an impact is detected, if anyone knows of this and or a diagram i would appreciate a link or any help. Thank you
