My oscillator only works with the battery backwards?

Postby Supermario1 » Mon Jun 13, 2011 3:54 pm

I am using a normal 9v battery connector to power a simple breadboarded 741 IC square wave oscillator circuit. This is my very first circuit, and I immediately noticed that it did not work unless I put the leads on the battery backwards...? This must be some simple silly thing I did, but I would really like some help on this... Thanks!

I guess I must have wired +9v and ground backwards, heh. Terribly stupid of me.

you should have connected the positive and negative in reverse way.
so soldering it correctly. Be careful in feature circuit board creation.
