What is this? (Oldschool I think)

I circled the part in red.
It is from an old analogic multimeter made by Pantec (Division of Carlo Gavazzi).
One of them is broken and I need to replace it.
Thanks.

You are looking for something like this: http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/tpk-100/100-ohm-trimpot/1.html, but we need to know the value. There are usually letters and numbers on the face of the metal frame. But, it could be replaced with a more modern trim pot.

Ken,

It says 5K in it. I don't know if it is relevant but it has only two "legs" in it that are soldered to the board.

Thank you,

Sounds like a custom, but it can be replaced...just connect the wiper to one of the end terminals. If you can match the terminal spacing it will be easier. Can you measure the center to center spacing of the terminals?

Ken,

I replaced with one of those blue 5K Neopac 3296 trimpots. It works great.

Your help is much appreciated!

Thanks lot!

Thanks for the feedback. :) I'm disappointed if I never find out if the info I provide actually solves a problem.
