What kind of PLCC socket is this?

Postby Tropic » Wed Sep 03, 2014 10:45 am

I need a 68 pin PLCC socket, but the one I just bought (3M 8468) has a different pin layout and pin-row distance than on my circuit board and therefore won't fit. I've looked through lots of datasheets for PLCC sockets, but they all seem to be the same as the socket I bought.
What kind of 68 pin (solder through-PCB-hole) socket will fit my PCB? See photos below:

PLCC socket I just bought which won't fit the PCB next to it (because of different pin layout and distance between pin-rows).

A closer view of the PCB where I'm trying to find a socket that will match.

The non-fitting 68 pin socket in comparison, which shows it to be smaller (the pin-rows are closer than on the PCB).
