Please help me identify this parts?

Postby nidzo » Sat Nov 02, 2013 6:59 pm

Hello. I would like to know what part is the one on the picture that says something like EDCEN or something similar. Looks like it is connected right beofre the electrical motor that is on the other side of the circuit board. The other one is obviously A2719M Ic. This is a part of electric shaver/epilator. I have tried to replace battery in it but accidentally put it the wrong way. After that this component on the picture started smoking. I removed the battery quickly but this part already burned out. I am guessing this is some kind of DIODE, but not sure what and what kind. Any help would be apriciated. And even if you need more info please let me know.

The picture where both are attached to the circuitboard.

And zoomed in picture.

Thank you in advance.

It may be a UPA2719 'P' channel MOSFET switch. You can get the data sheet here:

Thanks for quick answer but I also wonder about the other one that is mounted vertically (the top of the zoomed in picture) and has letters "EDCEN" on it. On the picture it looks very burned.
Thank you in advance :)

Resistors and capacitors have end bands on them, like the component below it. So it's possibly a diode - though it's impossible to say for sure.
