How to identify parts from schematics

Postby rameshrai » Sun Aug 18, 2013 6:04 pm

Hello,

I have a schematics but I don't know how to identify realistic parts from the schematics. Like the attached image shows inductors and capacitors with values but there are so many choices of inductors and capacitors? How do we know which exact part is meant in the schematics? Futhermore, there are reactance associated with different inductors and capacitors, must they also be taken into account?

Is there any steps?

Hoping for replies from electronic part gurus.

thanks

It is beyond the scope of this forum to give adequate answers to your question - they would require a lot more space than is available. To a large extent the type of component is determined by its value. For example the 10µF 16V capacitor C8 is shown as a polarized type so must be an aluminum or tantalum electrolytic one. C5 is 33pf so quite small and will be a silvered mica or one of the various 'poly' types. If you understand the purpose of each of the components then you can sort out which of their other parameters are relevant.

If you are a beginner then I suggest this would be an excellent reading source.

I also encountered the same problem. What should I do?
