Help identifying electronic component

Postby pavey » Wed Apr 11, 2012 9:24 am

Hey guys, narrowed down the problem on my circuit board to this green component here, thing is I've never seen one before and have no idea what it is. Tried googleing the code printed on it but got nowhere. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Bryce

Looking at the reference: F1. This looks like a fuse. Probably the text on the fuse gives info about the current which is secured. looks like 1/2 an Amp. But could also be 1 1/2. I can't read the picture very well.

Looking at components, there is a series resistor of 0.22 Ohm and a diode or transient protector. I would assume if the fuse is defect, the power was applied in reverse or a peak voltage was applied.
