CRT monitor no display

I've been using my CRT monitor for 1 year and it didn't have any short circuits or whatever. When I turn on the PC, I hear somethings that is like scratching or zapping sound. Then "poof" no more display. I heard the sound under the screen but I didn't smell a burned circuit. Anyone know about this case? :?:

Check for power supply. If it is functioning good you have no other option than to take it to the service provider

I had the data from my old HDD copied to the new one, and it worked then, on an LCD monitor.When boot process is done, move your mouse for about 30/60 seconds rapidly on your mouse pad.No signal, gives a strong message that your monitor is working good, but the signal from the CPU is not good most time.
