Relay design help

Postby traviswallen » Fri Mar 07, 2014 4:02 am

I'm designing a audio equalizer with the option to relay switch between a solid state or transformer output path. I'm worried that the relay will cause a audible pop on the output as the relay switches. My thought is to use an additional relay that creates a resistive path to ground a moment before the output relay switches and remains active until the output switch becomes stable. I'm thinking for one second. Does anyone have ideas?

Hi!
The pop appear when the potential not equal (e.g serial capacitor with floating in- or output). Without schematic no more idea...
