Maximising I/O's

Postby casdsys » Wed Nov 13, 2013 7:28 am

Hi All.

Just a quick question. If I wanted to have a large number of i/o's, let's say 32. Would it be better to use
1) A 8 bit micro and use 4 of it's 8 bit ports
2) A 16 bit micro and use 2 of it's 16 bit ports or
2) Use a 32 bit micro and just use a single 32 bit port???

Thank you in advance.
